The iconRemote is Ready to go in Minutes!
I’d been looking for a Universal Remote Control for sometime now. I just didn’t like the idea of having to switch back and forth between remote controls, just so I could sit down and enjoy my favorite TV program. But if I was going to get a Universal Remote, it had to be relatively simple. After all, I wanted to control my entertainment system, not the Starship Enterprise™. Fortunately, X10 was able to come to my rescue with their new iconRemote.
Unlike the Harmony Remote 550 from Logitech, the iconRemote doesn’t need to be hooked up to a computer before it can be setup. Nor did I need to setup an online account. The minute I pressed the first button, the Setup Wizard appeared on screen and guided me through the easy setup process. And I didn’t need a remote code list either. With the world’s most extensive remote control code library stored in its internal memory, the iconRemote is compatible with most devices, right out of the box. Regardless, the iconRemote even comes with a Setup Guide and Code List, but believe me-- you won't need to use either because this remote is so incredibly easy to use! I was even able to customize my user profile with all my favorite channels.
How does it all work? Simple! Once I had gone through the Wizard and setup my TV, I arrived at this screen. From here, I was able to press any digit to enter a channel number-- I chose channel 5, the local NBC affiliate. Afterward, the iconRemote brought me to this screen, where I was able to select the icon to visually represent NBC. Of course, I chose the trademark Peacock icon.
It was as easy as sending a text message on my cell phone. I had my iconRemote up and ready to go within five minutes! Plus, the big, easy-to-read buttons and vibrant LCD screen make this the easiest remote control I've ever used. No more fumbling around to find the right button! With its many features and incredible ease of use, setting up a Universal Remote Control has never been easier! I’m convinced that I made the right choice in the iconRemote.
